R.I.P. Bernie Tormé.

Bernie was a great guitarist and a fine songwriter, who managed to carve his own unique niche between Heavy Rock and Punk, though he was probably mostly known for his playing with Ian Gillan and Ozzy Osborne. His own band also toured with Hanoi Rocks and he was a personal friend of Michael Monroe. For me Bernie's best work was under his own name, particularly playing live. I have written many sleeve notes for Bernie's CD reissues of material from his back catalogue, released on his own label Retrowreck. I considered him a close friend and our families visited each other on a few but memorable occasions, which I recall with great pleasure. Bernie sadly passed away on March 17, one day before his 67th birthday. My thoughts go out the his German-born wife Lisa, his sons Eric and Jimmi and his daughter Tallulah.

it's been around some years, Ian.We never figured out what happened to one hit wonder Gregorius. The story goes that they had to find a funky bass player quickly. A gig is a gig. The conductor keyboardist is an accomplished musician as well, Olli Ahvenlahti. Gregorius has been IDd as Esko Nick.

Yes, the band that became Wigwam was formed as a backing band for Bengt Huhta aka Kristian, RIP. This must be one of his last interviews: https://www.kokkola-lehti.fi/uutinen/557250

thanks guys !
it's a shame, but i guess that's the way it is, also at that hammersmith
odeon concert i remember jim looking bored to tears during pedros synth solo so it
seems some things never change.

According to a concert review by Kimmo Lilja, there was no visual document. This was a wish by the band. It's a shame.

According to a concert review by Kimmo Lilja, all concerts of the tour were audio recorded. About filming I do not know but honestly there happened nothing visually interesting in the concerts excluding possibly Jim getting bored during Esa's moog solo.

thank you for that, it will be a shame if they miss the opportunity to release a live
dvd and/or a live album just like they did with the 35th anniversary concerts, i only
saw them live once at hammersmith odeon in 1976, but i know a few people living
outside of finland who love wigwam, but have never had the chance to see them
live so a live dvd or at least a biographical dvd would be great.
