Looking back at Jim in the 80s. Riki Sorsa material I have. Kojo sang some songs in English and then turned to Finnish. Most of his career is in the LP era. There is one 20 Suosikkia series CD that actually has the "hit" Nuku pommiin. But rather rare to find at all. Kassillinen LP levyjä valmiina. Melkein kaikki Dave Lindholmin levyt ovat mukana. Verraten vaikka Jimiin, Lindholmin sanoitukset oli aika folk tyylisiä, englanniksi. Huomaan vasta nyt että ne oudot nimet kuten Pen Lee oli varattu englanninkieliseen tuotantoon. *Kirjoitin muistista, joten saattaa olla et Do Or Die ja Losing Hold soitettiin eri järjestyksessä. Muuten luultavasti kaikki on oikein (? jos joku muistaa niin korjatkaa).
Siisti yhteiskeikka, molemmat yhtyeet soitti hyvin ja sali oli vahvasti mukana. Encoressa melkein kaikki muusikot (2 rumpalia, 3 basistia mukaanlukien) jamittelivat upeasti yhtaikaa. Mahtava lopetus keikalle.

En ole enää loopissa että saisin keneltäkän tällaisia äänitteitä. Suurin osa harrastajien keräämiä keikkatallenteita on kehnoja. Se Provinssirock mulla oli jonkun äänittämänä, mutta sekin aika kehno äänenlaadultaan ennen tätä Ainoan levyä. Ja yksi biisi taisi puuttua. Noissa 74 ja 75 äänitteissä on harvoin itse Nuclear Nightclub biisi. Muut levyltä on. Tulen muuten Suomeen tässä joskus ennen kesää. Mulla olisi noin 20-30 70-luvun LP:tä joita en edelleen kuuntele. Saako niistä edes 3 euroa jos panen ne matkalaukkuun ja kannan divariin? Mukana olis jotain 80-lukuakin.

Sori negatiivisuuteni, mutta näin just "Live At Natsan" sisäkannen ja en tajua miksi sinne laitettiin Suosikin julistekuva joka olisi sopinut miljoona kertaa paremmin kanteen kuin se sumeahko Karjalaisen sanomalehtifoto. Tekisi mieli ostaa vinyyli ja askarrella kansista eri versio.

OK. Sonet did get some deals abroad. I remember picking up Tsugu Way and one other HurriganesLP in American stores. Must have been in the import bin. Difficult to guess what the other bands that Love first recorded eventually sold some albums abroad, aside from Wigwam with Virgin. Love was a bit of a springboard to fame if you wanted outside of Finland. In the domestic market, Love was making some profit. I imagine Juice Leskinen was a big seller. And Hurriganes was huge in Scandinavia.

Esaji don't forget that lambertland was released in the uk on sonet whereas being
has never been issued here on vinyl and only got a cd release in 2010, from my own
experience i can tell you it was almost impossible to buy being or any of the early
albums here, i even wrote a letter to love records and got a nice reply from christian schwindt,
but it was late 1975 when virgin records made a few copies available by mail order
after the reasonable success of nuclear nightclub that i finally got a copy, it is still my
favorite album of all time.
Also we should remember that pressa appeared on the bbc twice, but wigwam were
never on tv here, so i'm sure that lambertland would have sold many times more copies
than being, partly because it was just so difficult to get those early albums here.

Looking into both Wigwam and Pressa, both bands generated interest in the UK about '72-75. The Wigwam era had the major in the band, but the press still covered all the releases. What I wondered was that was Lambertland the winner as far as sales, over Being? Being got some support in Scandinavia for sure. Claes Johansen might know, but I have lost touch with him.
